What is Lightning?
It's a second layer for payments built on top of Bitcoin. Designed for instant, cheap transfers, ideal for the small day-to-day amounts.
Do I need a wallet to buy?
Yes, any Lightning wallet works. As long as it can scan an invoice or paste a code, you'll be able to pay for your course.
What is Wapu?
Wapu is the rail that converts the buyer's sats to pesos and deposits them in the teacher's CBU/CVU or alias. Built for teachers who'd rather get paid in pesos and keep their money in their usual bank, without having to use a Bitcoin wallet.
Does it only work in Argentina?
The Lightning rail (getting paid in sats to your wallet) works anywhere. The Wapu rail (getting paid in pesos to a CBU/CVU) only works in Argentina, because it settles to Argentine bank CBU/CVU accounts or aliases.
Do I need to create an account to buy?
No. Purchase is anonymous by default: you pay, you get the receipt, that's it. The receipt URL is your permanent proof.
How do I get what I bought?
If the offering is a redemption code, you see it on the receipt. If it's a download, you click the button and the file downloads. The receipt URL is permanent — keep it.
What if I lose the receipt link?
If your Nostr was connected, you'll find it under "My orders". If you bought anonymously, you can sign in with Nostr and claim the order by pasting the order ID on the claim page.
How do I get paid as a teacher?
You pick how to get paid in Settings: pesos to a CBU/CVU or alias (via Wapu), or sats straight to your Lightning Address. If you get paid in sats, they land straight in your wallet and Cursats never touches them. If you get paid in pesos, the payment goes through Wapu and settles to your account the same business day — on that rail Wapu and Cursats are intermediaries until the money reaches your bank.
What is Nostr and why do I use it to sign in?
Nostr is an open identity and messaging protocol. Your private key is your account — no central servers, no email. For teachers, it's the only way to create and manage your courses.
Are there fees?
If you get paid in pesos, Wapu charges its settlement fee on each CBU/CVU payout. If you get paid in sats to your Lightning Address, you skip the converter entirely: only the standard Lightning routing fees may apply. The Cursats platform itself doesn't take an additional cut in v1.
